Michael Gomez is a Miami-born, Los Angeles-based SAG actor, writer, and comedian. He has appeared in NBC's Chicago Med and Chicago Justice, Netflix's The Upshaws, as well as in Blue Skies Process and PostNation at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago.

(Fun sidenote: His SAG join-line was: "Are you ready to take the rectum out?")

Gomez has been featured at various festivals and showcases, including the NBCUniversal Break Out Comedy Festival, SCOUT Festival, and an SNL Showcase for Lorne Michaels. He is a graduate of The Second City, where he was an NBCUniversal Bob Curry Fellow,  and studied improvisation, sketch, and solo performance at iO and Annoyance Theaters in Chicago.

Gomez has written and performed two solo shows — Hi, Mijo, It's Your Mom, based on his overprotective Cuban mother's voicemails, and Pardon Me, based on his experiences as a public defender — with sold-out runs in Chicago, Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. The Chicago Reader called Hi, Mijo "a cocktail of love, guilt, and irrational worry (with a side of arroz con pollo). . . . the real deal."
